I've read the rules but I'm a little bit confused about a few things.

In no particular order:
Has the competition started now?

What is the closing date for entries?

Should people specify 'poetry' or 'prose' in the subject box?

How will the voting work?

I second all that.

And where is the "'submit new forum topic' writing in red at the top of the page."?

Do you mean the 'write' button? Or (more likely) am I missing something obvious?

I think you actually have submit your piece of writing as a post on the forum itself, as if it was a new discussion thread.

Not exactly obvious but it's in there.

I went back and re-read the rules and I must admit that I felt that all of your questions were answered in there. however I have tried to clarify matters but if there is still anything unclear to you then please feel free to raise matters here!

I read the rules, I stuck up my writing, the instructions were clear to me, Tony. I was the first, so just hoped it was the right time to start!

A couple of questions leap to mind:

1. How will you stop people cheating by having multiple logins? (voting twice, entering twice, etc.)

2. Do we have to go to Norwich?

1. That's not going to be possible - but cheats are cheats and they always get their commeuppance in the end!

2. Yes - and please would those who would like to read contact me.

Would love to go to Norwich but time and money prevent me! Must sort out a Bristol one - sorry this summer 'overtook' me somewhat and I didn't write at all (shocking)!

Maybe for January to overcome those Crimbo blues?
