I'm still waiting to hear from the agents...
In the meantime, I've been messing with some photos and have come up with a draft idea for the cover.
What do you think?

Nothing like optimism, I guess...

The abandoned pier head features many times in the narrative as a focal point and symbol for the narrator's sense of isolation... something that was once a part of the mainland, but which is now detached and alone. The cover image is also the climax of the novel - though I ain't saying what happens!

I love it. I think it is very atmospheric and it does indeed invoke a sense of isolation.
Me, I would go with it.
I wish you the very best of luck with it Stan.

It's a thumbs up from me Stan. I think it fits in perfectly with everything about the book. Go with it!

Me too Stan, I have all my fingers and toes crossed for you.
This does make walking and every day tasks very difficult.

Thanks for the thumbs up, folks. It still needs a bit of adjustment (the bloke's head looks a bit long!) but is basically how I want it. He could just be pissing in the sea in the same way I could be pissing in the wind, of course.
Don't cross your eyes, Laurie! One of everything is bad enough. :)

Looks great Stan, awesome picture - it would catch my eye if I saw it on the shelves!
Best of luck.
