Good evening everyone, hope you're all well and writing as often as time allows. I'm looking for short stories, creative pieces or poems that are football-related in some way. If anyone can remember seeing anything on ABCtales that fits the bill could you post a link on this thread, please?

This piece I wrote a while ago might fill a space...but it's not fiction.

Thank God you're back. The only football stories I remember on abc were written by some Scot called OP or something similar.

Good morning. Thanks for the links. They'll do nicely for breakfast.
Having spent the last few months reading football blogs, websites, fan forums and just about every article published on the financial fall-out of the Rangers collapse I came across a few great pieces of writing. These mixed fact with fiction to great effect and the quality of the writing stood out. That got me thinking about how many footballing stories and poems are out there. Not many by the looks of it.
I spread the word on Twitter through various fan groups but the response was poor. No-one could think of any short stories or poems about Rangers, which I found quite remarkable considering the size of their fan base.
On here I remembered fatboy's poem about the old meat pistol and this one about Roy Keane http://abctales.com/story/fatboy74/roy-keane-dog-daydreams-and-wet-trous...
Celticman also has a few. This early one is still one of my favourites. http://abctales.com/story/celticman/best-f-team-world
Yes Geoffrey, I have written a few. Might even be time to go back and finish them. Well, maybe soon.
If any more spring to mind please post a link or two. Thank you.

Hi, Old Pesky. I posted a poem on here a while ago but took it down - can't remember why now.
Anyway, I've just reposted it and it actually does have a reference to Rangers.
I should know how to post a link but I always cock it up so if you want to have a look, please find under my account, entitled "Inverness Caledonian Thistle".
I also wrote a kind of newspaper article just before the 2010 World Cup about my footballing hero - it's called "The Greatest?" It's also on the site.
