Where Are The Grrrrls?

I have just come back from holiday and looked in dismay at these threads.

Where have all the grrrrls gorn?

Didn't this forum used to be famously feisty and frilly?

I demand a return to pinkness and some more mentions of lipstick.

i see they're running a new banner ad on the forums: be spontaneous... surpriseyourwoman.com i think i ought to clarify for Martin's benefit that this isn't a subliminal message for furry bill to make an appearance this evening!

I sure am a bit behind here so let me catch up. First Chant, grabing body parts just to let you know I'm all in tack but must admit I could do with a new pair of legs, They look fine but don't take me far, if I where you I'd start collecting some parts for yourself now and put them by as it comes to us all or have you already that found out? Janiemack, remember I'v seen you in person and you not only don't need lipstick or any other makeup as your face is lovely as it is. Fish, I do love the pinks but went out the other day to explore the lipstick scene found a lovely lavender, plus iridescent purple, plus silver lipsticks they have gone up in price a lot as two were £7odd and one £4, you might call this old fashioned but I have lots of clothes and when I go out special everything has to match hence the silver lipstick although must admit I haven't tried it yet. Now to possession's I have a big double garage really you could hold a disco in it thats of cause if it wasn't so junked up and I still I get an over spill into my through lounge. I think thats all folk's if I have left anything out let me know and I will include it in my next post. By for now...

Fish is right. We need a pastel perspective...no actually a lurid pink perspective....sod the washed out hue... Now frilly...even for Fish I would find it difficult. Have you ever seen a wolf in frills? I'd look like Red Riding Hood's Grandma...

wolfie! how was your trip to exotic parts? and i take your point about looking like red riding hood's grandma ... it's an image i might use to scare the kids ... mind you i do reckon i have seen you wearing lipstick ... am i mistaken? *takes pot of emulsion and brush and begins to transform abc forums into lush hot pink paradise* (had some left over from painting the hall)

hello!! I haven't been on holiday more's the pity.. just doing a bit of TEFl teaching and it's back to the school grindstone on Monday. Booooooo. My bedroom is painted mauve on two walls and pink on one and white on the other. i've got one pink and one purple ostrich feathers sticking out from behind my mirror and have two bright pink cushions sitting on my mauve duvet. Sounds a bit garish but what's wrong with a bit of gare every so often? Enough squabbling boyos...

This is a sexist thread, and by the powers invested in me by the Equality4Boys Commissioner, I am inserting a male quota into this discussion. Boys have pink things too you know.

no, no, Fish, you're hopelessly out of date. my little room is too little for a bedside table, i'm afraid. i have to sit my laptop on my bed when i want to use it. the wallpaper, and i use that word wrongly here, is cheap white. i have blue-tacked my poems onto the walls to give the room a more homely feel. the handles have come off my meagre chest of drawers, and i have had to sellotape them back on, again, to give the room a more homely feel. there is nothing pink or black in my room. my bedsheets were originally red, but have not been washed for so long they have acquired a colour unique to themselves which i doubt you'll find in your durex colour chart.

I just discovered some pink wafer biscuits at the back of the cupboard and was delighted...until I found that they were so stale that they stuck to the roof of my mouth... A cup of tea sounds mighty fine...with a dash of Jack Daniels in it (the school holidays could turn us all into potential alcoholics).

i was having a conversation with a mate of mine recently ... her boyfriend has just moved into a flat and he has no Stuff ... all the women i know have houses full of Stuff ... small stuff and big stuff ... candles photos pictures mirrors etc. but men who live on their own dont seem to have any stuff ... why is this?
chant
Anonymous's picture
i have books. lots of books. and cds. other than that...stuff. hm. why would i want it? stuff just gets in the way, fills up drawers. am not an acquisitive kind of person. when i go round markets with girls, their eyes light up at stuff that just looks like junk to me. i also like to feel i can clear out of a place at any time with the minimum of effort.
