It seems that the older the app you use, the more likely it is to keep the paragraph formatting. Best way to get around the paragraph problem is to save your work as plain text, open it in Notepad or Wordpad (or whatever the Apple plain text editor is) and paste it from there.
I can't guarantee results if you paste from Apple because it (probably) follows the Unix convention of marking new lines with a carriage return. (The Windows convention is to use a carriage return followed by a line feed.) If you have any problems, don't keep them to yourself. Leave a comment below (saying whether Windows or Apple, which app you're trying to paste from, and what the problem is.)

If I save as plain text (assuming I can work out how) is that going to mess with the format of my book? I'm so technologically inept that any change terrifies me. I hate the way my chapters appear, but would rather have them messed up on here than on my master. However, I suppose I could open a new document of the book and use that just for posting on here, but then there would come a time when I'd overwrite my master with the copy, so probably best not.
Thanks Mr Admin.

An easy way is to paste the stuff you want to post on ABC into Notepad (if you're using Windows), or any plain text editor, then copy it from Notepad and paste it into ABC.
