from the ABC set Cliffnotes

Can I not be
who you are looking for
Starry eyed man
staring out at far away shores

Can you not see me
like the ocean blue before you
Yearn for me
Like you do for the yonder shore

Your laughlines are so beautiful
they mirror the sun's rays
Your hands look so capable
like they could hold the moon's gaze
Your voice, a siren song
brings me nearer but never closer
Your midnight whisperings remain, even when it is all over

After a hard day's labour
Can you not rejoice
After a long days' work
Can I not be...that choice

The one that melts away all the pain,
the one that renders the strain of the world on your shoulders an unburdensome bane
Can my face not light up your darkest days
Can my kiss not make you want my caress

Can I not be
who you are looking for
Starry eyed man
staring out at far away shores
Can I not be , the one place you can finally call...home.
