Mean to kiss me

No likes yet ♦

from the ABC set Cliffnotes

Do you mean to make me bitter and leave me cold?
Do you mean to make me scorn you and add another to the fold?
Do you mean to care or is it accidental?
Do you mean to be there, where you know you don’t belong?

Do you mean to kiss me lightly and then hope I forget?
Mean to hold me and mildly caress,
The words unsaid
Do you mean to lie there and not hear them echo in your head?

Why do you lie in my bed?
Upon the pillows where the tears are shed
Do you mean to have it so
Mean for me to bear this burden alone?

I cannot read the walls of your heart from its beat
I cannot decipher a touch without the accompanying speech
So tell me what you mean in the dead of night
Whisper I love you before the morning sunrise and
Mean to kiss me in the morning light.

Hi adora,

I like this, it almost has a lyrical feeling about it, I could almost hear a tune in my head, as I read
it. Yes very nice.

Jenny.
