If dreams were wishes.

With every stitch I dreamed a dream
and saw in my mind's eye,
A child was playing happily,
beneath a sea blue sky.
He sailed his boat,
kept it afloat,
on imaginery seas,
and filled the air with laughter,
that tumbled in the breeze.

With every stitch I wished him love,
a future filled with joy.
Surrounded by his family,
A happy little boy.
A smiling face,
a warm embrace,
to help him to get through.
And most of all I wished him dreams,
that might one day come true.
