My mouth goes dry
I feel shocking
like a jelly on a plate
the body is wibble wobbling
My memory goes
feeding a lot into it
two pairs of glasses
one has to change over
In a church choir once
hit a high note
my bra goes ping
Many prayers
and worshipping
Microphones as if on stage
Alto contralto soprano bass
I'd give a tenor to hide my face
Yes!
I have done many things now
after many years tongue-tied
I would also ring a number
to join or do something
All I could start was
ah! umm
but I would get in
A friend now in a nursing home
we went to day centres
and music groups
All files and categories of songs
another place a teacher or who
have boxes instruments to use
Tambourines a rainmaker
clip-clop sounds
like horses hoofs
triangles to ding
We all stood up
acting like chimps
making noises
to increase our
breathing
Then my friend
with a kind of
Frank Sinatra voice
would say
"Think of people
like rows of cabbages
that helps"
I was breathless
before all this
16 years of my life
On therapies
surgery
no cure
and many other things
So when on stage
the light's be dipped
now I just have a try
I had no "Hope In That Strange Corner"
is the Title of Tony's story
that is brilliant
do read
Then a friend in our other groups
we both went in for
my goodness
depleted me
When I saw her there
hardly spoke to me
I wasn't sure well
enough to go
I only practiced once
pain in the chest
cold night air
So three of us came
in from shopping there
and got a cup of tea
I saw them all in back room
so I drank a cold drink
someone topped it up with ice
doubled up before I went on
The track played so loud
I came in at wrong time
then I read the poem of
"Green Eyes" from a sheet
Then mean't walk over meet
the judges comment on all
but my mic was blinking stuck
Said the three judges
lovely voice
and you hit those top notes
but you are so nervous
A friend previous kept phoning
ranting on and on
three days here
took all the stuffing
out of me
Can't do this
and can't do that
she wasn't in charge of it
no you can't do poetry
Silver-Spun-Sand
let me once
kindly read one her
poems
I felt so calm
as it was beautifully done
I am truly amazed
what I have achieved
even tried
"Memory" from Cats"
But instrumental
part is not for me
Breathe relax
as been taught
many other things
I can't mention
but AbcTales
are the tops
I start saying
A-E-I-O-U
I am a bit of
a Mad Hatter
like to wear
a tea pot hat
like Lady Gaga's
The pen stops
and won't write
I scribble hard
but it's the
empty fluid inside
Yes,
I too stuttered
when a child nerves
many years back
Then something happened
ghastly for years
couldn't do anything
Or move much sometimes
I couldn't speak at all
It was "The King's Speech"
by Colin Firth"film
made me do all this
all comments and ideas please.
is this better now added to it
After got the cherry!

especially the bit about, thinking of people like
a row of cabbages, yes really funny.
You certainly got alot in this poem, it was a great

One does the scales "Love Opens The Door" from tape
hardly played.Plus memory I tried and he plays guitar. Then Mum although can't go far me,got me in and her aas extras Cavalcader she did 2 weeks in her 8o's very strong personality she would sing top c
we on holday, and then I joined her, they announced her
not to go high,as took it away from cast.I met so many wonderful people.stood behind curtain with Jeremy Clyde talking me nice,or tap on a door, say three minutes, what? did they mean new to me.Didn't think sing songs remind me of mum "I'll see you again" now I feel wheeling me on.That's enough.Thanks.I like yours way you can do to.

But I read other's helps sop much.I only
just answered Silver-Spun-Sand's lovely
comment. And said my aunt used butter patts:
a short wooden handle ribbed wood to mould and
shape the butter balls. So I can't get mine quite
right? and kindly replied keep shaping butter patts:
And how I scribble the pen has no fluid in etc;
90 out of hundred think stretch bend sing dance. Bra
clips come undone so ping! Look at great Barbara Windsor film, but I have no bust now.
take care.Thrilled get a comment from you.

cheated Editor emailed good reply to Q Ihat
I asked and as Editor was laid up then flu, quite a while. I sent email re: maybe to read never thought in my wildest dreams I would.
But great reply from Editor t.cook Tony so carried the slip with me and at my 1st trip with hubby to the London AbcTales "Wheatsheaf" pub I quickly read it out to myself, as Tony had said us to meet all,so
I went round all the tables when Editor t.cook had gone out room, then when my turn called name l read email lines of great complements from Editor t.cook (Tony) helped immensely to talk a bit and read poems. I was over the moon be chosen out many good ones there. compliments said?
So I knew had to carry out what email said.
Fab;evening by going round the tables steadied nerves. But it was all inspiration of all of you,
how each read.Thankyou organizing and blighter's rock. Also in my bag,had song "The Wonder Of You"all
good job didn't sing.
Some of words ar: "When no one else can understand me
when everything I do is wrong
you give me hope! and Inspiration"
to carry on there my word's mixed in.

Hi! Thanks so much, for lovely comment.
But of bra is a bit tight! or eat more, movements
will go ping! on last fastener. Friend of many years,
sing in day groups, before stroke, both getting on,'Sinatra' like voice! he say "think of people like a row of cabbages". What! Lot of us been 'Singing for pleasure' trained pay, courses Gt,music conductor 'Simon Gray' drama plays,no music sheets, all mixed songs. approx! 150 of us now since only February,he has set up four venues, church halls, put on Hove Town Hall, other group companies,Brighton Theatre,'Shine' Spectacular Christmas Show was at Hove Town Hall, and carols,it was fabulous all of us could be in,anyone can join. Fun and laughter must be over 15.
Harmoniese sometimes. Brilliant dress code and glitzy things, anyone paid course do two performances. Carols
so on,well worth the money to spend, and taught! Musical numbers and all kinds. Don't think I am a cabbage now, only a joke!
Happy christmas. I enjoy your's and all read.
Busy 'Singing for pleasure' owing to shop fall, pays for my 'Singing' now courses. Carols last night, before try! batch of cheesy biscuits for us this time. They all likes, although breaking up carrying them then. Well one has too laugh! sometimes, try put in a poem,or story maybe not poet, more agony aunt. But if time I read back! I surprise myself! Think did I do that!
Mainly life! what one sees,or maybe been through, jumble it down hey! presto!
Love it if get one, comment someone has read one way back! How kind and to comment on. Not good at commenting, see things maybe in different way!
Or maybe can't quite,identify with writer,so good.
