Bobby bird was long and thin
red hat
with a red nose
and green fan tail
he loved to pose
My dad used to give
him some water
in a glass
so fascinating
to watch
He would bob
backwards and
forewards
all the time!
Made my eyes
go left to right
I put my head on the table
and went off like a light
I'll never forget!
Bobby after all
he was only
A novelty drinking
dipping, dipping, bird

hello Julie - I really like this.
In the fourth stanza, you don't need the apostrophe in eyes.

Hello! That was quick, thankyou so much
for telling me, now have corrected.
It is true! as children we used have one, this
on my mind. But trying to throw the readers,
off untill the end, make out real bird, called
it Bobby, and mentioned drank all the water. But wiki
says doesn't drink water. It was a 1960 toy.
Just been reading your acceptional story, AbcTales mag; 23 great. Hope your well. Whacked! out shopping
wow! just found one e-bay ordered.
I keep asking mine help, but he can't,ugh!
No I'm no good at punctuation. But reading all on
AbcTales will help tremendously. Thanks.

so had change it all. And mentioned how it was made
and done! Wanted reader's to think real bird till end. Not quite right. Wasn't it fascinating to watch
Tina. I have now ordered one, so still going! Coming
from China I think. And on Amazon to, if want get one. Don't know where to stand it.
Breezy out! So you have had alot of rain then.
Have a good week-end. Thanks comment. Just got in
Guess what? Peacocks got proper cherry dress in, but
look at the back, design big circle material out, design shame. And also slang word for one is not very
clever, so wanted call poem, Bobby bird.

Hello! What a clever budgie you had then,
what did it say, like the word Andy. Yes,
I can imagine it, did your dad teach him.
This is only is only a Dippy dippy bird,
what it is made of etc; forgotten for now,
keeps dipping in and out, continuously done
by two glass files, and special liquid gasses, tip it backwards and forewards. Got one coming by delivery soon wow! so pleased.
He is also had a black looking Mynah bird.
Used to say, "Where's Dad along the pub" then
so embarrassing if he had gone, for his pint, when
alive. Thanks sharing this with me.
When are the good romance poems, coming again.
Just tried one mostly true, Jack Tar readings, going
well difficult to put into four line stanzas. But done, give me your approval of it please! Look up Wikiepedia your find, Dippy bird explanation I found
and it doesn't drink all the water as I thought. Wanted to call it 'Bobby' bird. Make it real but been to odd. Bobby Bobbing bird not correct! Anymore tales let me know. Interesting.
Have a good-day. Red blood moon mean't to be, sky is
to overcast to-night, he has looked for me. Just re-submit, as see spelling mistakes corrected, no glasses on reading ones.

They make a kind of bobbing dippy bird around here, it is carved from a piece of wood then painted a little. The bird is mounted on a small coil spring which in turn stands on a piece of grass turf that comes from mountain cliffs. The grass is completely dry. It is said if you keep the turf moist the grass turns green and starts growing again.
Often they are sold around the shops by pedlars or street vendors. It's mostly used for a decoration or as a toy for children.

Julie, my dad had a tame budgie who liked sitting on his beer mug rim he liked beer. Always landed up flat on his back on the cage's floor. Name of course, Andy. This all is truth. And I had one who swam in his drinking water- even in winter.
Cheers! Nolan

Thankyou for the interesting comment.
On the dippy bird, well if it works main thing.
Mine has arrived to-day tin sides bit, tight mine
had to expand it a bit, now it is getting warmer the
glass tube is working, weight and special fluid, tip
it up and back goes in the water. Got a little mauve hat, face dark red like blotting paper absorbs water.
Two glass files, then little tin red feet and stand.
Your's definitely sounds much more interesting.
Thankyou all information on your's, very interesting.
Have a nice week-end. Like the way you have explained
your dippy bird. Yes, can be for children, but sharp
edges on this.

Hello! Rachael, thankyou lovely comment,
way back as a child then, my belated pop1
had a Dippy Bird, sometimes I wante to throw it,
so like a pendulum swinging backwards and forewards,
drove me nuts, but it was so fascinating. Thought never see another one, but on ebay, got one in few days, mine did for me. didn't work at first he had to
squeeze it't legs. Under £5 you can buy one too.
Go on tell me your experiences of Dippy bird.
Thankyou for your time reading, not perfect by a long way. We wnt shops to-day what did I get, Monitor
frog £1 the damn thing croaking all time, until stand stiil, we were walking along croak croak croak!
Big plastic one, responds sound for garden, I could feel people might looking at me,on bus it was quiet.
For the garden have to dig it in,senses and croaks if
anything near it,I put it on table first before garden or may give daughter but got three cats, or keep myself. I stood up made me jump started off again croaking, like me only joking. Then had bite to
eat in Churchill square, can only eat soft things, tooth missing, mine got something different came over said to me, can you hear noise, no what! Dinosaur exhibition, thinking men dressed up costume, we went down escalator and my. I was frightened? Kid loving it, massive mechanical throws head back, like me, tail lashes side to side, claws and eyes move, mouth opens better teeth than me? Mine saying about 15ft high scary, and babies. All controlled by machine underneath the arrangements, had camera so mine, taken few shots, roar and size phenominal. two other kinds smaller one with an egg in his claw. And one with a fish in his mouth I waited see it drop it. But didn't clever way all rigged up. Now had an odd call phoning up about
computer not working, do feed back numer, female op:
saying etc; number is saying, (12) 000 000 computer.
Again now, the computer was slowing and TRACK wasn't
altering, clocking up reading going up odd, mine spoke him, at last but he rang off, what! a world now. I can't tell them like you do, I know what want to say, or may get a verse come, and going bed, gone!
You will laugh! at all this I know.
Thanks have a good day, put funny dvd on love Del Boy! Carry on films too. Weather gloomy! If I look back time I started, think did I really do that, Thanks to The Editor t. Cook Tony, Edit John Wilks, and all polished poet's and team help. And to read all. Try helps me. phew! Hope your well.

When we were kids there was a kind of toy that if you pushed it over it just bounced back standing every time. It was a little fat man shaped like an egg or a pear with the weight low down. Do you perhaps remember the name of this toy Julie?
You can't keep a good man down.
See you! Nolan

Just got in, both went shops, and me onto n/home

one booklet Dippy bird cost more than our got, pluas pay £5 pp. Yes,certainly both remember little fat wobble man, about 4 6 inches tall, hover pushed him or always stood up, and bounced up again. Sorry don't know correct name, could ask AbcTaler's or I

julie New just found not Weeble wobbly doll.
Wikipedia came out re-search, called Roly-Oly toy and a picture showing how weighted hemisphere tips over and back. Also in theatre a man would dress up
say as fat clown or mandarin, as toy shown. Ok.
And the last few words you have put please delete.Word see you, cos I am only on a computer because I don't, and won't whatevr mean't in the word? It's usually aterm of a word used families maybe. only advice a bit and help in life! ok.

Hi! Gee! thanks coming from one does
good stories. As AbcTales mag; 23 now omg
has two of mine in for someone couldn't do anything at all, beginning, little bit on me,
says I couldn't even say The "Lords Prayer" at one time. Many years lost at great cost of all. And poem Dippy Dippy bird someone commented,
and asked if know name of toy, what was it, cos I remember, at home we had. did bit research on button, up came weebles, or wobbly man never goes over. At the end they have put see yah! As if they will. I asked them too delete word, as don't go in for seeing anyone, only chat abit, and maybe help someone somewhere somehow now. I lost all my facalties, think spelt it right, but only did try after all experiences etc; had go through! sometimes I know some have to suffer all, before can help other's. Even now some jealous of me, unyet had more done me, than average person. That's enough so if quirky imagination, good taken years for that! so kind of compliments,I can see touch feel and move! wow! Both mine very foreward and quick thinking. Now only have to wear a bit cheap bling, ring £3 £5 people say like, wherever go do shop! some look real. adjustable.
I don't always get the hang, of some stories or poems,so difficult to answer correctly. Or I don't always like something typed, that's way think, and may not be able to stomache it, get my meaning. So call myself agony aunt, lost control now writing, to much back, so emailed Editor t. cook Tony, if should delete, as get carried away, what athing be able to do, no they all like me kind of chat answering. I think I am sily someytimes, all achieved, but somewhere now, someone likes what I do? Course are bit. jealous, and I ask myself Y how could they be, when know one knows anyone's lives, do they. Started
a writing group and homeless went, after many years wanted see couple friends, one day through prayer I managed to go in, joined group, all wqs done sentences, pictures doing words poem if can, never and story, then closed re-furnishings. So saw comp
and put, on AbcTales, advertised, never heard of four
previous ones had, and saved other's no punctuation
staff done all, sent off some Big Issue paid all little bit, or drawings and sketches some. I really felt? so amazed see it, then matured on here, and help. But think if could do what Peter Andre" done help someone even difficult child, programme in return he would, could and get help them, and ingredients if what job, in return frree, even get money raised for a youth dance school, wonderful tickets bit high price, parents came watch their children, no matter what who perform, be much much better and safer world. Now paers stating as put ealier on, Lilies flower mainly dark red cat's are,
elergic to pollen! fatal for them. Blow me always loved Lilies and get, but stain curtains and cloths.
Last week or so anniversary another one, more gorgeous bunches and Lilies, he leant over cloth, got it all on t shirt, and my table cloth covered.
So now no more Lilies. I was going out, but overcast
and then onto, bandstand playing, but cleared up bit, washed my hair. Must teel you, lady sits tired on our low wall has a stick sometimes, say hello!
I caughte her and gave her plastic rose bracelet expands as wear things now and again cheap, daughter nevr likes, pleased but yesterday delivered dozen eggs, how nice. Then my lost bus pass first call out
shops, right left there, took them a box of chocs.
As wait 2 weeks for new one, mine is younger thsn me
wouldn't pay for two weeks on buses I know. Then I went onto n/home sing time, half an hour late, two buses packed up. But finished half hour earlier, one can't speak, watches me try sing do actions, Doh Rae me smiles, they came one young staff, said do you want go to bed what 3.30pm cried,or to your room, I expect thought after quick tea, continuing as usual,
they decided tow in charge finish early. So yes, I bought her cuddly beanny penguin and took it over. Only one person on, so just left it. neither knew the name. A woamn in paper had rescure cat years, said jumps on her lap, suddenly turns round, and bites her twice happened. Dr states put a blanket down, watch for twiching of eyes, tail movements and body, the gradually slide fingers under blanket and lift off lap! can be bored won't moved, or to much love. Children can act like that too.
Anyway that's enough from me. I don't look my age, or act it, just trying enjoy what can do now.
Enjoy your week end keep writing I will definitely read. Tell me about your wobbly man too weebles.
The world is changing so much. I have two very clever clogs, quick thinking like nothing buy make do. But all boils down now, your as young as you feel. So try lighten up by doing funny or most spectacular, in past colourful poem. "Atmosphere" I surprise myself. All things done, as Editor T.Cokk tony's story No "Hope In A Small Corner" great and absolutely true, for me then.
keep writing. 2nd cooment posted, hit wrong key, lost all. They are both terribly bossy, and I know it all not my nature at all.
