Oh! let's walk through the park
slide on our sledges
up and down hills
count our blessings

All be wearing snow boots
and hats with Abc on
plus red christmassy coats
gloves with pictures
of lit up snowmen

Our faces be flushing
from the cold biting wind
out comes the cameras clicking away
at the snowy tree tops
covered in gods beauty

Houses and homes
decked out in designs of lights
shimmering with snow on

Dogs of all shapes and sizes
with woolly waistcoats
burrowing their noses deep

Off to the shops for coffee
and see the marvellous sight
down the escalator
is the Golden coach
in Churchill Square

A lady sitting inside
her crown with phosphorescent lights on
and crystal droplets shine

Her automatic hand comes up and waves
as her head gives a nod

The horse is a beautiful sight
a blue plume feather
on his back
his tail swishes around
with snow on the ground

Santas waving in his
red suit and
snowy white beard
come this way
for all to here

I have been naughty
as whispered in his ear
can I take a photo of you
please!

for the Argus paper
as he chuckles
Oh! yes my goodness me

Children gather round
dressed as fairies
waving their magic wands

Standing singing
We will rock you
rock you
all because
when a child was born

Fairy tales come true
if your young at heart
what a wonderful world

Shimmy shimmy shake dancing
look up in the frosty sky
as the aeroplane sky writing
on a banner AbcTales in trails

Mind your P and Q's
and don't forget to dot the i's

Think of what you can do
for teenagers maybe
out in the cold
or the men selling The Big Issue

Do buy a scarf or gloves
for them
and watch their big smile

When I grow to old to dream
I will keep you all in my heart
a Merry Christmas to all of you

Julie, you have worked hard on this one. You have even got your 'shimmy shake' in there;-) And also your verse about fairy tales coming true reminds me of a wonderful old song;-)

Hi Julie,

wow! what a brilliant poem, you have everything Christmasy in this. I love every single line, really
made me smile!

Your like me, a child at heart, I don't think we will
ever grow up, we are the same, that is good.

Thanks for a great read and the smile.

Jenny.

No one can do and explain like you.
It's still jumbled and may be bit OTT.yet.
Gee! Thanks so much,it's from
2009.But this happened recently
I had the nerve to ask Santa as taken
couple photos,if he would like one beside
this marvellous, scenery.and send to The Argus
paper, wow! yes please,so waiting to see.
Maybe I will be a Cinderella, and have all the
children come to me,sit in a coach with them,a dream.
Made up from parts 2009 and yes right songs,All because a child was born, course Jesus.
Got dash, still knitting Santa, before he goes away,he! he!.Love your poems so expressive, and creative and true of life.Few Carols few doing nursing home to-day.Hope your well, the black cat, came in gorgeous "Green Eyes" lays right across the computer,,maybe learning AbcTales.ugh, got photo for owner, among others. He get's on Ray's lap, wow that is something,
hides little nose in his arms,if try photo him.
He peeps around the post, smells warmth now of our central heating. Mine would never have a cat in, so I
photoed them to-gether.
Well mum no matter what, was always Young At Heart.
Have good week-end.Your right, cut 2009 down mingled it with happenings now.L;ifts me up,visiting friend
