Physical Motivation

from the ABC set A Collection of Nothing In Particular

I am an obstacle to myself,
And I dream of a day when
My physical presence is transcended
In a flurry of colours and meaning,
And the corners of my mind
Project themselves onto clouds,
When my eyes reveal my intention;
Earnest,
Untainted by my physical motivation.

I see you on the decking
By the river,
Contemplating?
And my heart is the
Water and the twisting,
Tussling of currents.
Times past I might have
Held you;
Now you slip
Between the lines,
And no net
Of words I could ever cast
Would catch you;
No driving home
Of my feelings
Could ever stop you leaving.

Thank you Rachel. In the absence of stuff posted to your new account, can I still read stuff posted to penandpaperdreams? I can't seem to find it!
