from the ABC set A Collection of Nothing In Particular

For a man to attempt to live
In a house with a woman
He knows, but not too well,
And wants to have sex with,
Is political suicide;

How far would I follow
The point of my member?
To the point of copulation?
Without even questioning!
Questions come later,
I come first.
Well, not first, hopefully;
May questions be
The third thing to come
Of the situation,
The second thing to arise,
And probably the first thing
Screamed in my face.

* * *

For a woman to attempt to live
In a house with a man
She knows, but not too well,
When he wants to have sex with her,
Is a PR disaster;

How far will he follow
This line of inquiry?
To the point of me strangling him?
I have a question;
Once you’d come,
After I’d faked it,
What do you think would happen?
Could you look me in the eye?
A laughable lack of proficiency
Would mean we could
Never again enjoy dippy egg
And toasty soldiers for breakfast
Without irksome innuendo.

Hi Steve :) I like this poem well done.

And your right for most men it is suicide to live in a house with a woman, I feel sorry for the unlucky males lol.

keep writing
keep smiling :)

Thank you prettyrose, I embellished my own situation in writing this (as we often do!).

I've just moved in with an attractive girl who I met on New Years eve, and had only met her once or twice before the move. Just had a little wonder about the pitfalls of falling into a sexual relationship in that context.

Luckily she nags me to buggery, so no chance of copulation and the ensuing awkwardness! That's my story and I'm sticking to it... :)

I've got the woman's perspective saved somewhere - will have to dig it out.
