In the Summer I Would Put it to you Gently

from the ABC set A Collection of Nothing In Particular

In the Summer I would put it to you gently,
So as to send it on the breeze,
In parts it snags upon long grass,
Still it finds your ear with ease,
A smile would likely envelope me,
Hold me in your beating heart,
A frown would only make my will
Stronger than it was to start.

I liked this Steve and not because it rhymes by the way, but because you just simply put how you stand on how you feel about someone you feel worth pursuing and taking their let's say confusion into account in so few words - probably less than I've written!

Thanks Blessing,

I appreciate your comments - I was thinking it needed a little something extra, but I have been persuaded to leave it as it is!!
