Under what I thought was my sanity, lies
Nothing but regret. Regret that I
Coaxed Death. In desperation. Regret that I
Asked for this – his soul is now
No more. And I watch his lifeless form, eyes stricken with
Neutral emotions, my hands bloody and trembling.
Yelling to the heavens then, my voice, like thunder, rumbles in dread.
