MOON SHOOTING

from the ABC set SHORT (OR LONG) DITTYS - RANGING FAR FROM THE POINT

A good day’s work is a wonderful thing
It can make you leap, it can make you sing
It can even make the heavens ring

Now a good cold beer at the end of the day
Can make you want to loose your way
Come on, come on, come out and play

But there really is something in the peace of mind
We find in the money at the end of the grind
We’ve been to the bank and our rent has been paid
I'm a drunken sailor who’s just been waylayed

We’ll shoot for the moon
and we’ll shoot for the stars
Perhaps we’ll sleep behind jail-house bars
Though who could deny us our golden ring
For a good day’s work is a wonderful thing
