Pam Ayres, you are my idol –
My role model; my star –
I read your poems daily,
And I worship from afar.
But Pam, I ain’t been idle
For many years I’ve wrote
Stories, poems, essays, books –
Now I’ve wrote this little note.
Now Pam, please do not bridle
When I ask you how you’ve done it –
You’re talented, funny, brilliant :–
You went for gold – and won it!
Pam, I’m not yet suicidal
But if I don’t get noticed soon
I’ll give up hope, and start to mope –
Am I asking for the moon?
Oh Pam, I think I’ve tried all
Of the possibilities
So Dear Miss Ayres, I’m begging you
Can you advise me? Please?

Linda,
I love these parodies but your own style is good too. Actually,I really enjoy reading any of your work.

You are so kind Moya. The parodies are more of a challenge - keep the grey matter functioning!
Thanks for our lovely comments,
Linda
