When is a duty a pleasure,
a delightful endeavour?
When the recipient’s a treasure,
loving, and kind, and you gain
such a warm overflowing rich measure
of encouragements, joys that remain.

This is sweet. And true, if somebody you love asks you to do something, it's not so much a chore if you care about them.

and it's a prompt to us if we need to be helped, not to be ungracious about it! I know some who get so upset and worried about taking my time, it gets very uncomfortable, and difficult, but others who give so much, you feel so glad to visit, or do a job, and I and can honestly tell them they give me pleasure. And thank you for your comment.
