Monnow Valley – early spring

No likes yet ♦

from the ABC set Nature

Monnow valley – gentle, calm,
whispering river, – soothing balm,
hills enclosing, set apart,
bird song, – shadows flit and dart;
by the water, wagtail grey
(tinged with yellow), soon away;
sprouting buds, windflowers unfolding,
lambs high pitched in range of bleating,
sparkling celandines, sun reflecting,
laughing daffodils, – warmth’s returning.

new Rhiannonw
Really lovely full of
jopy and spring near,
all the things you have mentioned
in your poem.

Another Nature tale I enjoyed.
A sharp reminder for me to be more alert when out walking.
Regards.
