‘You do not know on what day your Lord will come.’

from the ABC set Christian, Biblical

He clearly said that none can know
the hour, or day, or date
when he will come again, return,
but we should work and wait,
alert and ready, while he’s sending
word throughout the world of grace,
and that evil’s end’s impending,
then we’ll see him face to face.
(Matthew 24:42)

all religion equates to is mass mind control!

I pity those weak minded soul's who waste their lives immersed in such nonesense!

The virgin birth! pure folly but it is also attributed to Buddha and Krisna to mention but two!

Live your life with good intent, harm no living thing and you'll be fine!

I am sorry you feel like that.
The evidence is there for the historicity,
and to dismiss as definitely folly what is outside the normal is opinion/gamble really.

seekerofwords | May 25, 2011 - 17:40

much of christianity has been taken from other sources, much inconsistency abounds in the old and new testament. lack of historical evidence favors the non believers.
to believe in the writings of the bible is itself a true folly.
even christian theologians and ministers accept that their religion is ultimately a fairytale. as are all religions.
waste of time.

Live your life with good intent, harm no living thing and you'll be fine!

Some people may call themselves Christian theologians and ministers and not accept the historicity and truth of the Bible. There is a huge body of Christians and Christian ministers who know it to be true. There is more historical evidence for Christ and his resurrection than for many historical figures who you would be happy to accept existed. When looked into, 'apparent inconsitistencies' are soon cleared up.

christian propaganda! christian lies! the four gospel's have that many errors its comical! you need to research the alleged authors of the four gospels, Paul's writings, and the dates! History does not back up christ or his alleged resurrection.
Also please answer this question:

How old is the Earth?

And how did you arrive at that number!

Namaste,

I'm glad you enjoy it. I hope it's truth brings encouragment and comfort too!

Rhiannonw | May 26, 2011 - 09:43

My last reply was to Maisie, I get confused by the way these come out in a different order to what I expect!
But thank you too Julie, and very glad you enjoy and appreciate the Bible while we live here.

seekerofwords – Please, I dont think this is the place to be angry about these things. Christians are not in the work of propaganda!, or lies, they simply want to share the wonderful rescue and help that is out there, that Jesus Christ offers. History does back up, and it is difficult or impossible to find an adequate other solution to the facts then and since.

Of course we don't know the exact date of the earth, but there is abudant evidence against the likelihood of a 'billions of years' date, and the reasons such has been suggested is that that is the only possible way that all could somehow have come to being by an impossibly long list of coincident mutations, occurring many, many times. (I am speaking biochemically, which was my field of study)

Maybe we should leave this conversation now!

seekerofwords | May 26, 2011 - 10:22

angry! no, that's not my style! I feel a great sorrow for those who follow any religion, such a waste. Your are wrong about being backed up by historical evidence, but if it makes you happy then that's OK. Did you know that unless you speak Arabic you'll not get into heaven? According to mohammed that is!

Religion is laughable!!!

and as you wish R, I shall not respond any further, I will leave you with your fluffy chics and cup cakes!!!

Namaste,
