THEBOWRIVER - poem

from the ABC set ALBERTA POEMS then and now

TheBowRiver

is like a watery parade, as
grandness rolling
through land in a spiritual trek
across Alberta, meandering
fields, then it splashes
against ancient boulders
where tourists click in awe
cameras as voyeurs,
and evenings later share
images with lasting memories.

Western Canada is also unique like the East. It has a distinctive flavour, where the locals wear pride on their shoulders, of an active and vibrant community within the richness of the land. Yes, so true. RLP
