(ghazal - an Indo-Arabic poetic form)
------------------
LASH A MIND SURE
Arsonists howl, “Apostate!”,
hate from the bowel, “Apostate!”
Chasing the tale they have not read,
burning, they growl, “Apostate!”
The moon bribed into murder,
I hear only the vowel. Apostate?
Prostrate freedom waves a white flag
and we throw in our towel, apostate.

Interesting - what exactly have you renounced?

What has been renounced? In the context of this poem, Islam, Islam, Islam, Islam and Freedom.

Can't argue with the depth of feeling Salman. I'm just getting to grip with your stuff. I have fledgeling thoughts about your poetry.

Cheers. This poem of mine is particularly cryptic...
