Snapshot of my brother

No likes yet ♦

Your photo
shows you looking
straight at the camera

With that smile-for-the
photographer look

And your hair sticking up
in places it shouldn't

Just the same
as when you were
my child-brother -

You still look younger
than me though
of course you're not..

Now seeing you again
all I feel is pity

None of it was your fault,
you didn't know - and

I'm sorry it's been
so long, too long.

Afraid so, sorry about that Geoff, but have to go with what comes up and I guess this is my way, if you see what I mean.

ScoZen
Seashore, hello.
Very short but says a lot.
It reminds me to get in touch with family before its to late.
Regards

What's left unsaid here is equally as important as the well-chosen details. Again, as in the past, I really appreciate the open-ended, stoy-like quality of your poetry.

Barry - as before I thank you for leaving feedback. As you know, it means a great deal to me. Sorry for delay - short break from writing to spend a couple of days with my younger daughter. Best wishes, Coral
