THE CHOSEN ONES ( PART SIXTY SIX )

from the ABC set Stories

The Crystal Ships still hovered above the people, as bad men, after bad men, were taken aboard the
Ship.

Ivan turned to Meradith, "we only have Shadow to
pull one of the Wagons, we will need to find another horse to train."

Jermiah listening to what they said, turned to Ivan, "I know where there are horses. When this is
all over, I'll show you where they are."

"That would be a good idea," replied Ivan. They
again started to make their way through the crowds
of people. "I've never seen so many people, gathered together in one place," said Evelyne.

Pushing their way through, Evelyne saw a familiar
figure, holding a boy's hand. 'Could it be?' she
thought. He had his back to her, "Nathen!" she
called out, "Nathen! is that you?" The figure looked around, when he saw Evelyne, he ran so fast
to her, she started towards him. When he reached
her, he lifted her up off her feet, he didn't
hesitate, he kissed her...for what seemed like an
eternity.

"I can't believe it, you're alive," said Evelyne
holding him tight.

"Where are Fern and Jay?" asked Nathen.

Evelyne pointed through the crowds. Fern came rushing over, "Father, Father!" Nathen picked Fern up and cuddled her. "Father I've missed you so much."

"And I've missed you too. So where is Jay?" Arvid
brought Jay over, Nathen was so happy to be back
with his family, he almost forgot about Ben. He
turned around, Ben was stood behind him. "Please
let me introduce you to my new friend, this is Ben,
Ben this is my family."

Ben looked at Fern and smiled, Fern went slightly
red and giggled, "well, well," said Nathen, "I
think my daughter likes you."

"Father!" declared Fern, getting annoyed, "stop it."

"It's okay Fern, I'm only joking," replied Nathen.

Now that they were altogether, they decided it would be best if they went back to the cave, "the
poor animals must be in a right state," declared
Ivan.

And so our families and friends made there way back to the cave.

Hi Tina,

thankyou for letting me know you enjoyed. I agree
with you, I don't think Nathen was joking.

By the way, I read from Pia's poem, that you are
feeling a bit under the weather, I do hope you get
better soon, so we can read more of your beautiful
work.

Just read your reply above, Jenny, and thanks so much for your concern. I guess am feeling slightly better today, but just sitting at the computer for a few minutes knackers me...if you'll pardon my French;-) And I have the mother of all sore-throats. Apart from that I'm fine, so musn't grumble;-)
