Jonah's men had enjoyed their hunt and their feast,
but now Jonah had the men working twice as hard.
One of Nathen's hunters, who's name was Joshua, had
it in his head that he would try to escape, even if
it meant risking death, anything was better than
working for Jonah.
As Joshua dug, he turned to his friend Bruin and
said, "I have a plan to escape."
"Don't be stupid," replied Bruin, "Jonah's men are
everywhere."
"I don't mean right now," said Joshua, "I mean when
it gets dark."
"But we won't beable to see where we are going," said Bruin.
"There's a full moon tonight, so it should light our way, as long as there are no clouds." said Joshua.
"Hey! you men, less talking and more digging,"
shouted Jonah.
As night fell, the men ate, Joshua's hands were raw
and bleeding, he felt he could not do another days
digging, he was tired but determined to get away.
"Are you with me?" Joshua turned and whispered to
Bruin.
The moon was bright, Bruin thought they would not
make it, but he couldn't leave his friend on his own. "Yes okay," Bruin said reluctantly, "but we
must run like the wind, if we are to escape."
After they had eaten, Joshua noticed some guards
talking, he turned to Bruin and said, "quick! this
is our chance," but Bruin decided he could not risk
it, he said, "I have a son who needs me, I cannot
risk being killed."
Joshua turned to him, "this is your last chance, now are you coming or not?"
"Not!" said Bruin.
"Okay I will go alone," replied Joshua.
"If you find my son, tell him I'm fine," said Bruin
grabbing his friends arm.
"If you came with me, you could tell him yourself."
Joshua was anxious to get going, but Bruin would not risk it. Joshua hugged his friend and took off,
running for his life.

This Jonah is really an evil man working the men to exhaustion and bloody hands. I will wait until next installment. It's good to follow a story this way and comment along the way.

is a nasty piece of stuff, perhaps he had a sad
childhood, you never know do you?
Thanks again for reading and commenting.
