Like a
whirlwind
she dances
with great
merriment,
her hair with
amber glow
cascades
taking flight,
she moves
to the
rhythm
as if in
a trance,
an endearing
energy of
effervescence,
body lithe
twirling...
shimmering
round their
blazing
camp fire,
as the fiddler
plays to her
burning desire,
gestures tell of
thoughts not
always clear,
a snippet
of a chant,
her fragrance
exotic...eager
to please...
a landscape
of dreams
only her
people see,
to flourish
under a soft
corn moon,
her loved ones
to blossom
and bloom,
kisses soft
as morning
dew on
moistened
grass...lips
to touch
soft skin,
as sweet
juices flow,
like biting
into a
ripe pear,
her blessings
are many,
blending
light...
movement
within the
dance,
as the pretty
young girl
seeks Utopia,

Hi there jacques,
thankyou so much for your kind comment.
You would never believe this poem came from
eating a ripe juicy pear would you? but it did.
Really appreciate you reading.
Thanks again.
Jenny.

A ripe juicy pear? Is that a euphemism Jenny? Well I never!
A great read full of imagery and character, well done Jenny!

jolono I will set the story straight, eating a
ripe juicy fruit pear and really enjoying the
refreshing taste, I have never been so refreshed,
ha...ha!
Glad you liked this one and thankyou so much for
letting me know.

Hi Tina,
I loved that word 'vibrant,' it kind of sums up this
poem. I certainly tried to get movement into it,
with a story to tell.
Your comments always cheer me up. Thankyou so much.
Jenny.

Hi Pia,
they say two minds think alike and you know you're spot on with a gypsy princess, but I thought I'd leave it open for the reader to imagine whatever they see.
Glad you enjoyed this one and thankyou so much
for letting me know.
Jenny.

Hi again, Jen. Sometimes I am literally dazzled by your facility with words. It’s quite amazing. And I like the physical look of this poem; it has a pleasing narrow form. And I really like the last bit especially:
her blessings
are many,
blending
light...
movement
within the
dance,
as the pretty
young girl
seeks Utopia,
Lovely!
Two excellent pieces of work that I have read today of yours, Jen. Keep rocking (and writing), baby.

Hi again Trev,
I really appreciate your kind words. This one was
kind of special to me, as it was going into my
story, but then I decided to put it as a poem on
its own.
Yes I will keep rocking (and writing). Thankyou so
much for taking the time out to read.
Best wishes.
Jenny.
