BIRTH OF HER BABY
Time and sun fed her baby
with moon dreams and
slow cool mud
she was born in a round
pink garden, like a bubble
dancing in a cloud of music
where white flowers grew
sharing joy, fusing love
a drooly honey-drunk smile
turns her tears into laughter

This is a gem - short but very sweet. Loved it.

There was almost a fantasy to this poem. A beautiful
maternal feel to this one.

Thanks, Jenskins, I'm really pleased it affected you like that. I'll be catching up with the latest episodes of your Christmas Mansion Mystery very shortly. You are so George Gently, my dear... love the tone of your story. You seem to write faster than I can read, you are so prolific!
Best wishes.

This is a gorgeous wee poem. As Seasore says, a real little gem.

Thank you again, OTT. All this praise, I can't get over it. Are you Scottish, by the way?

Yes, another lovely poem. I too like the simplicity of your style. You get to the bare bones in so few words. Something I greatly admire.
Though will just say what did they mix the gas 'n' air with and did she get it on the NHS?

Thanks, Denz, I always try for a simple, stripped-back style in my writing so I'm really chuffed if you think I've pulled it off with this. And you're right, I reckon that woman had too much of the old 'funny stuff'.
