PAUSING FOR THOUGHT
she
reached up
and
unpinned
her hair
shaking it out
at the sides
of her head
they lay down
side by side
gazing
at each other
at this distance
her eyes merged
into
a single eye
fringed by lashes
like
prehistoric vegitation
a mysterious human
pool
they lay like that
for a while
neither wanting
to hurry the moment
amazed
at the time
that lay ahead

I love the way you have taken one, single moment and frozen it in time, almost, and even the ending, isn't really an ending;-) By the way I like the non-punctuation. It works to the poem's advantage, most definitely.
Much enjoyed.

Thank you, Tina. I'm really chuffed that you should show such generosity in your comment, especially as you are someone whose work I admire... and envy too.
