TERMINAL VELOCITY
Getting older when you are already old is like hurtling towards earth at Terminal Velocity and realizing that the parachute you so carefully packed is not going to open for you and stop you falling, and it’s not going to slow you down very much either.

yes. I think life speeds up. As we get older the summer seems just to have stepped in the door and then we find winter chapping. Quicker and quicker.
