He is….

from the ABC set Lurve Ramblings

He is annoying,
He is full of angst,
He is troublesome,
He is disrespectful,
He is a liar,
He is a thief,
He is a fighter,
He is dangerous,
He is insulting,
He is ignorant,
He is lazy,

He is sixteen years,

He is my son,

I love him!

They fuck you up your mum and dad... lol ;D
A chip off the old shamrock?

Sounds multi-talented though mate, should make a good poet ;)

They say everyone is good at something; time and patience I suppose ;) Thanks J.

Can feel this one!! I wrote a poem about my experiences last year; adolescence is a mixed bag!

I don't always like
the way you look at me.
I like the way you look.
I don't always like
the way you talk to me.
I like the way you think.
I don't like the way
you don't talk to me.
I like your mind,it's sharpness,
it's acuity, it's breadth and depth.
But not when you aim it
so accurately at my life.
I shrivel a little, a shiver
of premonition, the years
to come. You grow, and
I do not complain, your
thoughtlessness is my
shame; to want more.

Thanks anipani; it sure is a mixed bag. I have 2 older who have been through it with relatively little trouble. I think this one is making up for all three ;) but like I said - time and patience. Thanks for your time and your poem is very good and extremely accurate.

He is... a chip off the old block, perhaps?

threeleafshamrock | June 3, 2009 - 17:36

I think you may have hit the nail on the head D. ;)

That's awfully similar to what my dad would've said when I was sixteen. ;-p

I like this. Short, but sweet ;-)

Nathan.

I somehow doubt that Nathan; I don't think you have the capacity for rudeness. Thanks for reading ;)

Nathan Bednarek | June 5, 2009 - 00:19

Maybe not anymore, but when I was sixteen... let's just say that my poetry would’ve sounded a little different from what it is now ;-p

Wouldn't we all mate, wouldn't we all!
