from the ABC set Poems

My seedling soul magnifies your shining body.
I long to touch your smooth, lustrous, dark skin;
look deep into your eyes that shine with knowledge
and know the multitudes of worlds within.

My growing soul magnifies your shining body.
I’m awed by every single glistening cell
in that ornate microwonderuniverse;
tiny homunculi of titanic skill.

My branching soul magnifies your shining body;
those magnificent stars and spheres above
that form the giant, living organism
that my body is a shining fragment of.
