Story and Poem of the Week and Inspiration Point

Posted by airyfairy.

Thank you to all our writers, as ever, for the marvellous work on the site this week.

Our Story of the Week is a thank you to someone who has been at the very heart of ABC Tales.  Jean D has been generous enough to share her journey through cancer with us, with her customary wit, warmth and talent. All of these things are in evidence in what, sadly, she has told us will be her final posting here. We shall miss you, Jean. The End - part 2 | ABCtales

Poem of the Week is a beautiful response to last week's IP. Magnolia Fay captures the changing nature of the relationship between parent and child, the ebb and flow of love and understanding. This poem will make you think and reflect, as well as admire the skill of the writing: I didn't know how much I'd come to love you | ABCtales

This week's Inspiration Point is here: Inspiration Point: Writing Cues To Battle Writer's Block | ABCtales

I'll have to translate and send it to my mum, she always complains that she doesn't understand when I write in English. cheeky

Also, I'm worried that the homepage of ABCtales is not loading right on my browser, because I still see Blind Faith in the Poem of the week box. Is my laptop playing tricks on me?

Congratulations on the well deserved accolade Magnolia - I hope your mum enjoys it too! It always takes a short while before the front page refreshes itself to reflect the new picks, but hopefully you can see it now!
