I can see the Future!
Well, some of it anyway...
It’s not that big a trick really, almost anyone can do it. I was reminded of this when the young couple next door moved in, replacing the slightly older but still young couple who had moved out. Seeing the future only requires reaching an age in life where a younger person’s future is your own past. Oh the individual steps may differ for each of us, but the pathways are well worn and defined. The couple who moved out had been there almost ten years. They had not yet married and were starting a life together. In the ensuing decade they married, had a beautiful daughter and then a son. They moved to a larger house with a bigger yard to be replaced by the current occupants who I expect will follow a similar path in their own way and time. We have lived here a little over thirty years. A young couple starting their life together, recently married with a young son, we added two more along the way. Twins to be exact, a boy and a girl, now mostly moved out and on their own. (we have one straggler..) The wife speaks often of moving, I would be quite satisfied to grow old in this place in the manner of a tree and be interred in my own backyard beside the various dogs and cats which have enriched our lives these past years. Probably need a permit or something for that!

The week’s investment portfolio has gone pretty much as the past weeks have, a slight but annoying decrease. I am of course still hopeful for a brighter future as it trends nearer the sixty percent loss line. Past performance is no guarantee of future results as they like to point out in the prospectus! Last week’s big gainer (IQST) is this week’s big loser as (MNMD) regains its precarious lead for another week! Some minor jockeying aside, the down list positions remain pretty much as they have been. My crystal ball is showing a big change in the future. It’s just a little fuzzy on the (WHEN)...
