nighttime i listen to the beats on the radio 6 tv
trance falls into place
ta tatate tatate tatate ta
tatatate tatate taataa
repeat repeat
and the words not always quite the same
they seem the same but listen close and smallchange changes
change changing
upstairs in my bed i beat out trance with right han and keft hand
(i am righthanded)
I beat out the beats of trance and
my words come up likea printout of my mind upon the beating drum the beating heart of
trance and tatatatetum tatatatetumetc
'and the right hand says 'slow down and you'll be ok
but what about the left
whats left? whats left
it's not fair
and the right hand says slow down and you'll be ok but
what about what's left not fair it's not fair
and in my trance comes up a picture of injustice and
my picture of my initiation into an unjust world an unfair life
and my illustrations are of a young man 200 years ago in London
His name is John Marsh he is 17 years of age
he is from a family not high not low but
a bit up from the midlle a bit up from the middle
John Marsh is a Londoner his family are builders
his family has made money and they have paid for their son John Marsh to study Law
John Marsh is seventeen. He is training to be a barrister
not barista English Barrister at the Bar
At the Inns of Cout in London
John Marsh is in London he is at the Inns of Court he is near Chancery Lane in High Holborn
John Marsh is at his first legal dinner at the inn of Court
John is seventeen
John is from a religious family not the top not the bootom
a little above the middle
John Marsh is at hiss first big legal dinner
at the Bar in the Inns of Court
John is new to alcohol
He has never tasted Booze! because he is from a good religious family
and
John does not know alcohol
First time for everything
The initiation of young John Marsh ....
(to be continued..)
John Marsh is in room full of men a room full of older men
the ages of the men go up in stages in in crements
John Marsh is in the Big Law Hall
all the Men are dressed up in curly woolly sheeps wigs
some of them where tatty coloured parti coloured frock coats
they all have curly sheeps wigs
Ooh ducky doo what a bunch of funny men they are
all drunk all the men are very drunk
all the men are stuffed with fancy food the fancy pancy curly wurly piggy wiggly tail pigs!!
And they have dressed John Marsh in a big curly wurly wig and a girly whirly frock
John Marsh first time in the big Law Hall!! First time for every thing
Initiation ceremoney notty knotty ceremoney
boy becomes Big Man in the big law Hall
John Marsh has never had alcohol
the Big Men in the curly wirly coats have filled him with food lots of piggy food and they have
Filled young Joh Marsh with DRINk
JOHN IS PISSED OUT OF HIS NUT
and the Big Law men taunt him now
Sing John sing
Dance john dance
John or joan show us what you've got
tra la la
And John is drunk and he
is a young law man
drinking in the Inn of Court
In chancery Lane Near High Ho born
Oh ho ho a penny ot three drops into young noddle
of the newly curly wurly sheep that is John Marsh
He sings like a HO
Baa baa baa la
woolly wooly sheep
in the pigsty ten foot deep
Then he falls flat on his arse because he has never been DRUNK BEFORE!!
initiation into the Big Law Game
Crazy London game of law and money and booze and big men prancing like sheep
English justice money
the system mad game of mixed up moolies
And the right hand says 'slow down and you'll be alright
slow down slower down
But what about the left hand
but what about what's left
left hand right hand turns and straight roads
Is it just
is it right
It's all a big puzzle a great big muddle
My London trance my first time trance in Exmouth
Afew weeks back
Im still muddled here right now
