Empyrean Sphere

There is a rather large story here...let me summarize as best I can...

The main character is the Architect, who hung himself, and upon departing from his body, found himself drawn neither to heaven or hell. He wanders to the side of the celestial path he is on, and begins to construct a "Purgatory" for himself. He is soon however joined by the Poet, a man who also committed suicide. And the Dreamer, a girl who died when she stood atop the expansive cliffs overlooking the Atlantic.

When the purgatory is completed, they are at first satisfied, as they have a home that heaven or hell could not provide for them...but the Dreamer and the Poet grow weary of Purgatory and journey elsewhere, the Dreamer first to heaven.

In Heaven, she watched the dead there "sleepwalk" across the clouds which make up it's ground. She is disillusioned yet again by the paradise that cannot appease the dead there or offer an afterlife she expected.

The poet then ventures down towards hell, where one of the dead there has begun reconstructing earth. he is tending to earth by himself, (though occasionally joined by devils identical to himself) in an attempt to mock the living on the real earth, however the earth in hell surpasses the real one.
