Her breath, short sharp gasps
That cloud briefly,
Before dissipating;
Invisibly blending
Into the surroundings.
Glimpsed,
Noticed for a second,
Then forgotten
Forever.
The city, her home!
No doors
Only doorways.
No welcome mats,
Only the façades
That fate has unambiguously
Denied entry too.
Boundaries
Clearly drawn!
Across Trafalgar,
She trundles
Perambulated
Possessions.
Her flat mates,
Deftly dodge the
Wheels of her carriage,
‘Cooing’ Acknowledgement;
Not welcome
She observes them;
Envies them
But begrudges them not.
One day,
She too will fly;
When powers
Beyond her comprehension,
Decide she also, has earned
Her wings.

I absolutely love the last Stanza Chris,the more I read it,the more I want to use it as my daily philosophy.
A beautiful and very powerful poem.
You are very blessed in your talent as you can turn your hand to any style and that is impressive.x

'The city; her home
No doors
Only doorways'
Loved these lines Chris! A very poignant read.

I love the phrasing in this,
I love the phrasing in this, but the punctuation renders several of them nonsensical. Consider reading it aloud to yourself, that always helps me, since I think a re-write would make this truly wonderful,
