The first time I got high
By Myndstorm
- 900 reads
Sitting in a corner
Staring but not caring
Transfixed by
Whispers on tendrils
Of breath tickling
My ears, sliding down
My body on tingles
And shivers giggling
Like a secret crush
Then laughing like
A Saturday at the park
How absurd the words
You utter as I watch them
Flutter and nest inside
My empty head, the rafters
Cool and dark and good
For breeding ornamental
Thoughts that look pretty
And smile when spoken to.
I think you lie
Honey sweet, but lie,
The whispers a constant
Serpentine hiss slithering
Between my teeth up my nose
Across the tiny veins inside
My commie colored eyes
Watering from not blinking.
It’s just a spot and not a spider
It won’t hurt me liar, bastard
Shut up!
Serene again, it really is a spot
Thousand pound rabbit in my
Mouth STARVING rabbit, burgers
Fries, Chinese food,
Best damn water EVER!
Chaotic, my brain is having
Babies spilling out of my
Nose and ears and mouth
Can’t breathe, don’t care.
Exhausted, elated, erected
All at once, where are my feet?
Where is my seat?
So comfortable
So cushy
Eyelids feel like lead
I’m dying, withering
As winter sets in
Curling up, crispy,
Cozy, comforter a womb
To keep me safe, a tomb
For words and wisdom
Spent carelessly.
Tighter, smaller
A spot on the wall
Being stared at
Zzzzz….
