I was born
When I was one
I learned to walk
When I was two
I learned to speak
When I was three
I learned about pain
When I was four
I learned about friendship
When I was five
I learned about loneliness
When I was six
I learned about loss
When I was seven
I learned about God
When I was eight
I loved to read
When I was nine
I learned to study
When I was ten
I learned to swim
When I was eleven
I wished for magic
When I was twelve
I learned to write poems
When I was thirteen
I went on an journey
When I was fourteen
I grew within

Excellent! I really like it, but if you end rather with the one extra line, thus:
"I went on an journey,
When I was fourteen,
I became whole,
When I was fifteen."
And, you drop all punctuation (or change all full-stops to commas) then it would make things even more interesting don't you agree!?

I'm curious to know how old you are. I'm 60 and I reckon I'm still developing - or certainly I did when I got married, when I had my first child, after my parents died etc.
