Oh, we're all pals together
except when we talk about cash.
The tightening of belts just upsets us
It brings us all out in a rash..

We really do try for cohesion
But it's so very hard to agree.
When the boat is very near sinking
the rats let it sink just you see.

The coxswain keeps changing direction
So the crew really struggles to row.
Togetherness fails, very fast, in a flash
Then the boat doesn't move, it's no go.

We have tried many ways to get moving,
But the boat just refuses to float
There are too many rowers who don't pull their weight
They refuse to join in with their vote

Then the cash which sustains this big boat
Dries up, for the oars are now broke.
The left side goes one way, O.K.
