Dead Settin' Sun - 2

She never noticed before, but now thinking about it, the sun is always out; never a cloud in the sky. It makes her think a little about how much food and water there really is here in Australia. That isn't the problem though, the problem is keeping her restaurant in business. She's had very few customers lately and she can't figure out why. She is located at the edge of what's left of Melbourne since all of the high rises have crumbled and collapsed onto other buildings.
People wonder if this is the apocalypse or not. She thinks not. "Just another era we're going through" she says "Saying this is the apocalypse is a popular belief but it's a sign of people giving up too easily and an indicator of the glass half empty thought process of society. So if you're an optimist, say aye!" "Aye!" everyone in the crowd repeats.
She shook herself awake. "Gotta stop daydreaming" she said to herself "Back to work." Though she isn't sure where the water comes from, she's just glad that it's there. With plenty of water to take a bath every few days and to wash the dishes, she feels clean. She likes it here, it's kind of peaceful.
She heard the front door swing open and close. She walked out to see who it was. She saw a man with a white cowboy hat, a buttoned green flannel shirt, faded blue jeans and hiking boots. He sat himself to a table on the far right of the room where he then asked "Do you have a menu?" in a soft-spoken, calm voice.
"Yes, just hold on a moment" she replied. She started looking around for the menus. They weren't in their usual place and she can't remember where she last put them. She finally found them at the top of the stairs, stuck in a corner near the staircase. She put them back in their usual spot and carried one over to him.
As she walked over, she couldn't help taking a closer look a t him. He looked... jaundiced, very yellowish. All this while he hid his face underneath the brim of his hat. "Here you go" she said with an honest smile.
"Thank you kindly" he replied in a friendly tone. She turned around to leave when he said "I'll have everything."
"EVERYTHING?!!"
"I'm very hungry."
"Then why bother asking for a menu?"
"Because it's only polite miss."
"Well, it isn't very polite to hide your face."
"Nor is it very polite to shout at a customer."
She managed to retain her smile as she said "It'll take all day."
"I have all day." She took one last look at him before going into the kitchen. He leaned forward in his seat and folded his hands on the table. His fingernails looked elongated but she just passed that off as poor hygiene. Still, she had to seriously wonder about her new customer...

The sand loses solidity for a moment and 7 spheres rise up out of the ground. They rotate and circle around each other until they arrange themselves into a humanoid shape and a head appears out of the top sphere. "JOLLIX!" Arcs of energy connect the spheres to each other as it says "Come."
It levitates as it guides him. He totes a shotgun as he spies a figure in the far distance "AH! RIGOV!" "No, not Rigov" The figure known as Jollix replies. He hesitates before putting his shotgun back in it's holster.
Hertz hazmat headache hat something I will be needing later." The sky turns green for a moment He looks up and mumbles "glitch."
"Yes it is" Jollix replies. "Don't worry, you have plenty of time."
"What for enemy is when?"
"Yes that too."
He grins.
His hair streams back in tendrils 20 feet long and his beard tickles his chest. His duster trails behind him, torn and ragged, his shorts, heavily stained, his steel-toed combat boots, worn down to almost nothing. The only thing he keeps in good condition are his fingerless gloves, something he earned himself.
He points toward the horizon. "Town over way that!"
"Yes, there is a town over there. But that is not where we're going."
He looks confused. "Where?"
"You will see." Jollix replies.
