FALLING

I called; we talked.
The clouds cleared,
I fell.
In falling, I dreamt.
The blue sky moves,
Shimmering around me,
Like silk sheets,
In the wind.
I close my eyes,
And smile;
For my stupidity,
For my loss.
To start again,
I guess, though maybe not.
The air is dense,
As I float, in a sea,
Of hope.
All the things, in life,
I like.
The way I like,
To please.
Who are you?
Who has invaded my heart.
Breaking my concentration.
Who am I?
To invade your life.
Breaking your rhythm,
Increasing your frustration.
Your image pounds away,
Within the hollow shell,
Where my mind used to be.
I have no thoughts of my own,
They are all eaten, gone,
Lost, or replaced,
By a passion,
A desire,
A thirst,
A hunger.
I cannot control my heart or soul,
As you, your voice, your everything,
Melt me down,
Without complaint,
Without resistance.
Recreate a zest for life,
Rekindle embers,
Of a burnt out fire.
In such thoughts alone,
I have, no other desire.
Something special,
Rare indeed.
I cannot justify,
I cannot explain.
I took what I know,
To a higher level.
With a stranger,
Brought close to heart.
I upon my knees,
With one true thought;
To please,
Broke,
My rules.
