Hello friends, of Richard and Esther Provencher. This is the latest update just received this evening from my oldest sister Bonita. My youngest sister, Susan had one cancerous lung and her esophagus removed. Keep those prayers coming---

"Hi y'all,

Susan is slowly getting back into the "Real World"!

Yesterday, Susan went outside for the first time in 3 Months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Patsy said that they had to make sure that she was very carefully bundled up, so she would not get cold, even if it was a decent day outside!

Needless to say, Susan was ecstatic!! And, enjoyed every minute of the 1 hr & 20 minutes of pure freedom!!

Patsy brought an "Orange Crush Pop" over to the hospital!

They mixed it up with something to thicken it & gave it to Susan, on her demand, with the OK from the hospital, of course! Susan is being reintroduced to swallowing!! Why not make it fun!! After the pleasure of tasting it, it went through a tube & then into a bag (to be emptied later).

Last week, an Estethician did Susan's feet (pedicure, scraping off the callouses & cutting her toenails + a maniicure)!! Another "Special Moment"!! She sooooooooooooooooooooooooo appreciated this pleasureable service!

AND, she now has a phone & we are taking turns treating her to her weekly TV!!

She still has the opening in her back, (from the surgery) which has to be cleaned & repacked regularly! Patsy saw the hole & she said that she could actually see Susan's lung!!

I spoke to Susan & she admitted that it was not easy!

Keep her in your prayers + a special prayer for Patsy, who is Susan's constant presence through this VERY Difficult Journey!!

Richard, Susan is in my prayers. I was wondering how she was getting on because not able to get on site. Such a brave lady and she has gone through so much. There surely must come a time when she will enjoy a pain free life. Stay strong, Moya

Thank you so very much---Denzella, Kilb50 and scratch, for your kind concern; you are all precious. Susan is certainly an inspiration for anyone struggling in poor health, and that it is indeed possible, through love and prayers, to overcome and return to a life worthwhile. Richard

new Richard L.Prov Yes,Richard still praying,may Susan be free! of pain,soon such a lot to cope with. In my prayers,Susan,Patsy,Richard Esther. May each day Susan to improve,in some very small way! Best wishes and prayers all of you. Give big kiss and touch of love from us.xx Been rough two weeks us. You know how it goes! Then lost my glasses etc. Wait a week,crutches for Ray,long long walk,back for me.! With a trolley,no cars. Couldn't use bus yet for back seat! So walked. Funny pushing wheeler with crutches in laughing,all traffic big build up,Red Cross branch moved? Not many heard or knew directions. Way it goes sometimes. Pray strength for all. Quite a bit of improvement to Susan,may she go on and on,being blessed in someways always. Keep smiling nothing compared to Susan! From a child had be there. But got to park festival yesterday,St Ann's Well Gardens no Ray,resting,been two weeks me,danced my little feet off! Get new glasses Friday,have watch all the roads! Park packed and so much going on. Weather was good,was bands stalls cake comp,dancing, singers tots,children everything I took camera. I could move better,no singing two weeks,computer went wrong! on Dupral? whatever AbcTales. I dressed up bit trousers and sequins straw hat! Came alive. Said too much took photos others met. One a very good like robot dancer,both getting on age! Daughters birthday today. I think we wonder how to cope,"Look for the silver lining". Keep well yourselves. Cavalcaderl we all ask! why! don't we. Do not get help today,like families. julie xx

Please add my best wishes and thoughts. These terrible times in life are so difficult for the individual involved and so many of those around them. It either brings you together or it doesn't but in this case it would certainly seem to be a positive! All the very best to you all.

Thank you very much, Tony, for your caring comments. You are right, our youngest sister has brought us siblings together much more than before, especially all three sisters. Susan is a warrior. Oh yes, also thanks for fixing the slowness of accessing your excellent site---ABC. Many bloggers do not realize this site has no charges, and I thank you for that. Some major sites usually have a fee for posting work and your generosity is appreciated. PS. Life is so precious, eh? A good friend wanted us to go with him on a journey last Summer and Fall. He is single, around our age and a real adventurer. It would have cost us about ten thousand dollars for our share, yikes. He bought a motor home, travelled across the USA, then flew to Europe and travelled all over, and returned home. It took about three months and he had a fabulous time, with thousands of wonderful pictures. Two weeks ago, his stomach was bothering him, went to the hospital in Truro (we have a gorgeous new $200 million dollar hospital) where apparently cancer was found all over and now shipped to the specialist unit in Halifax. His good friend Patrick, just told us yesterday, "Paul will probably not come home again." Just devastating. At least Paul had the vacation of a lifetime, yet still so sad. Please say a prayer for a miraculous recovery for Paul. All the best from Richard & Esther.
