I feast
on their movements
the flair of it
the swaying
and meandering
across the air
in front of me
their scoots from one
branch to a second
and a third—
then grabbing a
black seed
and off
like a lightning
bolt – my chickadees.

this sums up exactly how I feel! We don't have chickadees here, but other birds think we are running an avian restaurant. I enjoyed your poem, written on the other side of the ocean about other birds making you happy too, in such a pure, joyful way

I really liked this too - it feels like the happiness of birds between branches and the speed of their movement. :)
