An ever-present help

[Continuing the hymn-for-Sundays series]
Fear of illness, fear of death,
fear of dying’s laboured breath,
fear of no-one near to share,
fear of need, and lack of care,
fear of lawlessness and crime –
anarchy – a fearful time,
breakdown of communal structure,
order’s safety-net in rupture.
God is there whatever comes,
shelter in the wildest storms.
Though he lets foundations shake,
evil purposes to break,
holds, protects us to fulfil
for our good, his perfect will,
one day, he’ll all troubles halt,
good and perfect world create.
Tune: 77 77 D
‘God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way, and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.’ Psalm 46:1-3

Fear is certainly in the air,
Fear is certainly in the air, Rhiannonw. Singing works for me. Singing's a shout out to whatever brought us here in the first place I believe. That sudden urge to shout out about new love and lost love. About the troubles in our world. go on singing, Rhiannononw. You do it wel.

' There is no fear in love
' There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear ' 1 John 4:18
I believe for us to praise and worship and singing and prayer is for ourselves, the believers, the commandment is to love God and this is how we show it and feel it. The greatest other is the obedience to God it includes all sin, it is the basic law. This is what I believe and how I understand.
This is very important yes, Goodnight Rhiannon!
