Thread removal

This afternoon, ABCtales removed a thread from general discussion because it included potentially libellous comments.

As a publisher, ABCtales.com is legally responsible for any materials posted upon this website, as if it was ourselves who had written them.

On this basis, we removed this thread.

As an organisation we make no judgement as to the correctness or otherwise of the comments removed, the decision was made entirely based upon our legal position. As these comments identified individuals and institutions and made serious allegations against them, we felt it necessary to remove them rather than be held legally responsible for their publication.

No prejudice is intended.

ABCtales.com is commited to supporting the rights of every member of the community to communicated their hopes, wishes, feelings and ideas. We must, however, operate within UK libel law.

Cheers,

They are only libellous if they are untrue. These are very true and this is the problem getting an independant organisation within or outwith the UK to investigate very series human rights abuses being practiced in the city of Glasgow Scotland and to make sure this group of people who are involved in self harm who are appraoching services in Greater Glagow are not being left in the hands of fundamentalist christians, perverts or abusive servcies workers. As it happens the only route to comlplaining about the Glasgow police is left in the hands of other police officers who investiagte the complaint. British justice is this, or Scottish jutsice but it shoudl be British justice as scots mps travel to westminster yet tony blair is overseeing these abuses in the city and he ceratinly is not posing the right questions on why scotlands self harm and suicide rates rose threefold while in England they fell threefold in the same period of time. The only route to having complaints heard about the glasgow police being investigeted for series breaches of the geneva convention lies in the hands of other serving police officers. This is not justice. Its not even like that in England so why is it like this in Scotland when we share the same parliment. I researched these agendas for years but instead of being heard i am battered to the ground taken to court for offences thta shou not be going near courts and criminilised. The self harmq uestion remains open in scotland and has yet to be answered. My web site goes online this week with the latest facts. Anmd they can charge me for being libelous. Its only libelous if it is untrue. Im sorry to the site for my behaviour reachign that point out of frustration. If you were in my shoes you woudl undersatnd the frustartion i felt through what has happened to me over the last 7 years.

Stephen, the situation with libel is such that the person or organisation accused of libel must prove in court that their claims are true, something that ABCtales certainly would not be able to undertake in this case. Have a look here for more details: http://www.urban75.com/Action/libel.html It's useful information to know if you wish to undertake something using the written word, either in print or online. Stephen - whilst I fully sympathise with you, Mark is right regarding media law, libel and the such. Just make sure you get your web-site address out there so as many people as possible can see what you're saying. I for one am very interested. (see naughty by nature). Don't let anything put you off getting the truth out there, just do it the right way. Mail me the web address and I'll be glad to help any way I can. Harry Kerdean
five days on - two off onno f o f on my current state of mind. I dont see the route to changing things as complaining. On my off days just now i am a cat possessed or maybe a tiger * roars* or is that a lion, i think a lion roars, does a tiger, maybe im more like a limp tiger, no, a tiger with a bandaged paw, yeah, thats the one, a limp tiger, with a bandaged paw ? No, this post was said in pure Monday morning venom. Its a shame, as life is kind off tredding on positive roads. Just need to handle the bad days better. Im glad the post was removed or it would have caused me difficultys today knowing it was there, abouts.
