good to see you posting again. these poems are definetly worth a look.
Juliet
Yes muchly agree. On fine form.
I find the poems fresh, particularly loved For Mind Reading.
Rokkitnite has done one to the same title, which is also ace o. I think they might be married.
Lib, I love these latest three, (along with the rest of your "stuff"). My favorite part is found in For Mind Reading:
There’s a list inked on the
inside of my wrist,
but I follow the pencil line
of your mouth to where
your shoulders give the sky a chance.
foster.
My poems would totally marry Lib's poems. They're just waiting until they can afford a ring.
Thanks for the flag Juliet, and to everyone else for the lovely comments. It's great to be writing stuff again after a short creative interlude.
Rokkit, my poems thought yours would never ask...
I think I like 'I've just had an apostrophe'. But I don't know if I 'get' it. As I have said in other places, I am still not sure about poetry. In this case the process of reading it was enjoyable even if what I 'get' at the end is not clear to me.
If that means anything at all, then there is more coherence in my thoughts than I can perceieve myself at the moment.
'I've just had an apostrophe' - great title, great line, great poem. And what a sweet proposal from rokkitnite, if they were my poems, I think I'd have to say yes!
the thing i like best about all three, especially the last few lines of "apostrophe," is how lyrical they sound- as if you wrote music into the words.
i'll go with Phil_harvey here, too, in saying that i don't always "get" poetry, but maybe that's the point.
