A successful day today

Two jobs applications done and just completed an 8k run. How has your day been?

Sounds like a trilogy to me Stan. Get writing first thing tomorrow.

Scored a goal from the edge of the box with my right foot into the top right hand corner at football but other than that, recovering from sunstroke haha 8k is awesome well done - hoping to get back to that level.

Studying for a maths exam, preparing a persuasive speech...while babysitting. Yes, that's my day...

Natalia :)

Scored a goal top right hand corner - sounds like one of my pass-backs to the goalie, well done

Wow you lot have good weekends. My life stops at the weekend because my housemate is home he's a trucker but doesn't work weekends. He's also my ex partner but neither of us can afford to move out of the house so, we're trapped. As you can imagine, we don't get on very well. Separate bedrooms, separate sofa's separate freezers, he has the shower, I have the bath. I hate it, can't get anything done, so yesterday I got up at nine, he was already in the kitchen so I couldn't get any house work done. The weather was terrible and even if I'd gone out, there's nowhere to go. Came in the living room but the telly was on, so I couldn't get any writing done. Sat and watched shite on telly until lunchtime. He went to get his week's shopping so I had a bath, I don't bath when he's in the house because we have a glass door. I watched shite telly until eight, had some homemade humus on toast and then watched telly until midnight.Went to bed, read till two ... and got up, cleaned the house and got ready to come to work. Pretty much the same as every Sunday... and life is no better for him. Today I write.

Stan, I've got some relatives of the conservative persuasion. Actually, they're of the unashamedly racist persuasion. I have a very sore tongue from all the biting of it I have to do on the rare occasions I see them. I'd tell them what I think, but it would be a waste of breath. As for my weekend, I had quite a nice, productive Saturday. Went to the library, did some writing, entered the WriteInvite competition, as I usually do on Saturday evenings. For anyone who doesn't know about it, you get 3 prompts at 5.30pm, pick one, write for 30 mins and submit your story (it costs £4). 3 stories get shortlisted on the Wednesday, and everyone else who entered gets to vote for the winner, who gets £50. I've won once and come second twice. But I've always ended up with the bare bones of a story that I can work on. Spent the majority of Sunday hyper-ventilating because I had no broadband connection. All sorted now, hopefully.

WriteInvite, thanks for the reminder Alibob, I signed up for it, got confused with GMT and real-time, missed the slot and have resolutely failed to be free any Saturday afternoon at that time since. Must really try and do it.

I'm intrigued by this WriteInvite - more details please, alibob.

Just found out I've been shortlisted again in this week's WriteInvite. Be warned, anyone who's interested, it's addictive!
