Worst time to be cherry picked!

Thanks for the cherry, i really was pleased, it being my first one. I happened to open abctales during a difficult moment yesturday as i didnt know what else to do. My pedegree puppy had just been stolen from our factory estate in New Addington, Croydon. Id just seen video footage of him being snatched, and as you can imagine i was devastated.

We are going to do all we can to get him back today. We think he has been taken by someone local who will try to sell him on. There is a substantial reward for any person that brings him back to his owners.

I know its a long shot, especially being an international site, but if anyone knows of anyone desperate for a puppy that may just get the oppertunity to buy our dog, please bring this information to their attention.

We are desperate that he gets brought home.

Please contact me on here if you have any information. I will put a picture of him on my profile. Please see all other details below:

This is a 6 month old Weimaraner. He is a brown grey colour, with exceptionally long ears, and a long tail. He went missing from Unit 4 Addington Business Park on Wednesday 12th October 2005 at 1.00pm. He had only left the premises for 5 minutes, and we fear he may have been taken. If anyone has any information that will bring him back to his owners there will be a handsome reward.

The dog is trained in Dutch, and has a female companion who misses him greatly.

Thanks
Em.

I thought we could put a picture on our profile...is that still possible? any other suggestions on how to get my puppys pic out for all to see?
there are loads of places you can post photos for free, http://www.flickr.com is a good one. good luck

GOOD NEWS, the irish gypsies that took him brought him back, he was a little jumpy but hes ok now, im so releaved.
That's a real relief - losing an animal that you love is just dreadful - you spend so long imagining its distress and thinking 'what if'. Here's to a better day today.
Give your dog a cuddle from me! He must be feeling a bit stressed out by the experience... :-) * P * :-)

The All New Pepsoid the Second!

Emma, what fantastic taste you have in dogs...I too have a Weimaraner who is now 5 years old, although mine is Silver grey, rather than Mouse grey like yours. I'm so pleased that you got him back, give him loads of love and kisses and your 'German crotch sniffer' will soon be back to normal. A.
They brought him back? Blimey!!! If only Yosser had given those cheeky Irish chaps a chance to redeem themsleves on 'Boys from the Blackstuff.'
Ive just put a picture of my dog hugo on my profile if anyone wants to see. He is exceptionally cute. Ive given him cuddles from you all! Biggest smile ever! Im chuffed to bits, today is a good day! Camus have you ever seen a long haired weimaraner?
Oh, and yes, they brought him back! I truly believe that if you are always nice, friendly and non judgemental of people then when you really need help, there will be someone who will step forward. The people that helped us get him back are rough as num nuts, but because we have always taken the time to speak to them in their cafe, they didn’t hesitate in helping. If we hadn’t of been friendly with them, we would never have got our dog back. Let’s just say the guy that brought him back (in the same car he was taken in!) looked a bit beaten up with fresh cuts an all! So with reference to that recent forum about revenge – well – I stick by my principle of ‘love the world and they will love you too!’
Emma... I was thinking of doing my next challenge on the theme of revenge... or rather, 'virtual revenge'... Thought I'd give people a few more days to have a go at the last one first, though... (PS. I generally I agree with you, Em... & I'm glad Karma worked out for you on this occasion!) :-) * P * :-)

The All New Pepsoid the Second!

Awww, Emma he's a cutie, yes I have heard of a long haired weimy, they are quite popular over in the states, although they haven't taken off yet over here in the same way. Probably because, in terms of popularity, Weimaraners are still a relatively new breed here as it took so long to persuade the Germans to part with them. Have you owned one before? If not then can I offer you a small word of advice, socialise him constantly, Weimaraners are incredibly intelligent and incredibly nervy and the smallest worry can stay with them forever, for example, my Bailey was scared by a friend of my husbands when he was 9 months old. Basically this friend barked at him and chased him when Bailey had gone running to greet him...5 years later we still have a dog that is terrified of men and barks at everyone to try to stop them approaching him, (although when they do he just caks his pants!) Sorry hope that didn't come over as a lecture, it wasn't meant to be! A.
Only just joined ABC, and came across your message, straight off. I am well pleased it turned out ok, I really felt for you. My favourite pooch is the Lurcher, the hound of choice for the more discerning gypsy (Irish or otherwise) but any pooch is a cool pooch. Hope you have great times ahead.
Camus, I’ve changed my pic again, so you can see 'mum'. Well Lodie is 9 years old, and is the most beautiful well behaved and mannered bitch in the world. I have only been with Lodie for a year now as it’s my partners dog who is Dutch. Lodie was once scarred by a firework which has stayed with her forever, but little Hugo is a boisterous dog, I swear if he was human he would be the next James Bond. Nothing scares him, he is cute and crazy! Just like me :-) lol and he certainly wasn’t affected by what happened, which was my main concern. He’s back to his menacing self! Welcome to abc josiedog, you have found a great place to expand your talents. I’m still pretty new myself!
