Section Breaks

As a long time ABCtaler I know it's futile to ask for new features, but... something I often want is section breaks. You know, like ~ or * or whatever in the middle of some calming white space between to two paragraphs. But the draconian tag stripping of the submit box won't let me... it doesn't seem possible to have more than one linebreak in a row, and centered text is verboten. Is it possible to relax this a little? Or maybe there's already a way to do it and I can't figure it out. My last story is feeling very crowded in his current online relationship, and would like some more space.
