This one's done extremely well, vividly descriptive, witty and quirky but with a kind-heartedness, neither sentimentally cloying nor vengefully exposing as some of this kind of writing. Friday fish fries, hard drinking, geography by parish and education by crotchety nuns, all makes for a memorable read.
